Rao M. Konduru, PhD Worked As A
Professor of Chemical Engineering in
Brazil!
Students Used to Talk and Praise His Excellent
Teaching Skills Every Day!
It Was The Major Accomplishment of His Entire Life! |
Rao M Konduru, PhD was a full-time
professor of chemical engineering and
taught a variety of engineering courses
to both chemical engineering and
mechanical engineering students in
Portuguese language in two Brazilian
universities (the University of Maringa,
Maringa, Brazil, and the University of
Caxias Do Sul, Caxias, Brazil). He
learned Portuguese language in a matter
of weeks before commencing classes. His
students in Brazil used to think and
regard that he was the best professor of
the engineering faculty, based on his
excellent teaching skills. Throughout
the university, students used to talk
about his excellent teaching skills
every day. |
This was the most important
accomplishment of his entire life. |
|

|
 |
|
Only some important lecture notes were preserved.
There were many other lecture notes, other courses, problem-solving examples,
and many lists of exercises were missing (lost or
left in Brazil),
which he prepared diligently
while teaching disciplines to
both chemical engineering and
mechanical engineering students: |

ABSTRACT:
Flash
Vaporization Process of crude petroleum was modelled and
programmed in FORTRAN. The program reads physical
properties of a multicomponent mixture and computes
vapour pressure of Gasoline, Naphtha, Kerosene, Gas-Oil
and Topped Crude. The program also computes bubble
point, dew point and flash-vaporization curve for a
given petroleum fraction - which is the primary step of
designing a petroleum refinery tower. A practical
example was used to test the program. It was verified by
the peers in the Mexican Petroleum Institute. The
program was executed in CYBER(CDC) mainframe computer.

ABSTRACT:
A FORTRAN program computes the following
parameters of a multicomponent mixture: fugacity
coefficients, activity coefficients, bubble point, dew
point, Vaporization Plate Efficiency, Haugen Plate
Efficiency, Temperature and Composition Profiles of
vapour and liquid phases during the batch distillation
process. The program was executed in CYBER(CDC)
mainframe computer.

ABSTRACT:
A cyclically operating fixed bed adsorber was modelled
and programmed in FORTRAN to separate methane-hydrogen
mixtures. The program reads the cycle time, fluid
properties and adsorbent properties, and computes fixed
bed adsorber’s dimensions and pressure drop. The program
was executed in CYBER(CDC) mainframe computer.
